Marketing Communications Manager
The Marketing Communications Manager is responsible for the management of all aspects of PR & Media coverage and brand exposure opportunities on a local and global scale, as well as strategic and brand partnerships, community relationships and all facets of content and communications.
Main responsibilities of role include:
- Coordination and assessment for partnerships, sponsorships, merchant partners and brand partner requests
- Sales & tactical promotions for maximum revenue generation
- PR/ Media relationships
- Execution and planning for in-park events and activations
- Execution support for Sustainability Marketing Plan & communications activity
- Coordination for communications of CSR programs, plus building relationships with local community outreach programs
- Oversee project management and coordination within the Marketing team to ensure timely and successful execution of marketing campaigns and initiatives
Task in more detail:
PARTNERSHIPS & RELATIONSHIP BUILDING
Coordinate and maintain marketing partnerships - build and maintain excellent relationships with all key partners and relevant community business network:
- Manage all Merchant partnerships (banks, other)
- Support Sales with marketing comms for hotel partnerships
- Manage all sponsorship requests and allocation of FOC tickets
- Manage partnerships and relationship building with local media (see PR/Media below)
- Build and manage all communications with partners, finalise agreements and coordinate any activity
- Build relationships with Ministry of Tourism/ relevant govt contacts
- Communicate all partnerships to management/team and report on success
- Community Outreach and relationship building with local community programs
SALES & TACTICAL PROMOTIONS
Sales Promotions management for successful tactical promotions including:
- Liaison between sales and marketing to ensure all promotions work for communications to our market
- Start to finish management of promotions from marketing side: plan, develop, communicate to team, manage schedule, brief to Creative, ensure smooth delivery of marketing materials, report on success
- Briefing Creative team and preparing all assets for promotions (flyers, stories, videos, ads etc)
- Communicate monthly promotions to management and internal departments
PR/ MEDIA
Provide PR/Media support and management including:
- Manage relationships with local media, press contacts, and blogs in Bali & all of Indonesia
- Assist with media requests and prepare press kits and info/images for sharing to media regularly
- Work with team to execute the PR strategy for all editorial opportunities and exposure, send press releases, follow up for press coverage
- Find and track media coverage and relevant PR and monthly reporting
- Maintain master media & partner contact databases and list with current updates
- Assist media or partners with any in-park filming requests or supervise content creation where needed
- Coordinating local advertising and media plans
EVENTS & ACTIVATIONS
- Manage and supervise all events and activations
- Coordinate with all departments, manage rundown, set up budgets, ensure smooth running of events, onsite setup and pack down, all event management
- Management of all in-house small promotions (Eg F&B promotions)
- Press/Media lunches or hosting and events
- All internal liaison / and project management support for events
COMMUNICATIONS / CONTENT / COPYWRITING
- Content updates: follow up content updates and text development needed for website
- Copywriting for press releases, newsletter, website copy, blog posts, any content and copy as needed
AWARDS & RECOGNITION
- Finding Awards/Industry recognition for submission (new and previous), monitoring submission dates, completing submission entries on time, getting support from partners for submissions
- Securing and promoting avenues for credibility with WB Sustainability practices
ADMIN/ REPORTING/ ASSESSMENT
- Ensure strong communication and feedback for all projects and tasks, including post-activity reviews and assessments for improvement
- Project Management support for team deadlines (tracking in Asana) - create all tasks and related briefs in Asana for team projects, manage deliverables as per schedule
- Collaborate cross-functionally with other team members in Marketing, Sales, Creative and Operations teams to maximize results
- Establish clear communication between Sales and Marketing department regarding marketing activities and promotional updates
- Keep management team up to date and informed about upcoming marketing activities and promotions and share all relevant flyers and information
- Help to track budget and expenses each month to review and update budget with Head of Marketing
- Project management of monthly report with Marketing Assistant and complete all relevant communications parts to share to management team and CEO for BoD
- Help to coordinate Marketing Activity calendars and monthly campaigns
Required qualifications, skills and experience:
- Min 3 yrs experience in PR, Marketing, Communications, Copywriting, brand strategy, media relations, social media or digital marketing with relevant education in same area
- Hospitality/ Tourism experience preferred
- Knowledge and connections for media in Bali and Jakarta
- Must speak and write fluently in English and Bahasa
- People person / great at relationship building
- Good easy going nature and can-do attitude
- Proactive go-getter with lots of energy and uses initiative
- Team player with strong communication skills and professional attitude
- Creative problem solving skills and strategic mind
- Strong project management and time management ability, extraordinary attention to detail, resourceful and initiate his/her own projects with the proven ability to track deliver results
- Proficient use of Google Drive, Sheets, Doc, Slides, Canva, Asana (an advantage)
